A man listed as Taguig police’s top 4 most wanted person for violation of the anti-rape law was arrested in Masbate where he was hiding from authorities.
Taguig police chief Col. Robert Baesa reported to Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg the arrest of suspect Lance Villamor, 20, in a manhunt operation in Barangay Balatucan in Mobo, Masbate on April 21.
Villamor was nabbed by elements of the Taguig police together with the Mobo police and Masbate provincial intelligence unit based on a warrant of arrest without bail issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 dated May 10, 2021 under a case for violation of Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997).
The suspect will be brought to Taguig police for proper disposition.
“I recognize the diligence of our police that resulted in the arrest of the accused. Also, I thank the Masbate PPO for their help. This proves that wherever you hide, those who are accountable under the law will be arrested,” said Macaraeg.
