PNP fetes seven Western Visayas cops for passing bar examinations


ILOILO CITY -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) lauded the seven cops assigned in Western Visayas region for passing the bar examinations.

Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, director of Police Regional Office (PRO-6), led the recent recognition ceremony where the seven cops were awarded with PNP Efficiency Medals for hurdling one of the toughest licensure examinations in the country.

“These bring honor to your family and to the PNP organization,” said Dongbo in his message during the ceremony.

“Continue your pursuit for excellence, improvement and exemplary performance. These are the true essence of our service to the people and country,” added Dongbo.

The new cop-lawyers in Western Visayas region are Major Danny Lamera and Master Sergeant Jhon Edmar Espinosa of PRO-6’s Regional Personal and Records Management Division; Major Garry Nee Tungala of the Iloilo City Explosives and Ordinance Division-K9 Unit; Lieutenant Colonel Jerick Filosofo of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group; Staff Sergeant Warren Calzado of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office; Staff Sergeant Dennis Jabagat of Capiz Police Provincial Office (PPO): and Corporal John Michael Recto of Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO).

Aside from the new cop-lawyers, the PNP Efficiency Medals were also awarded to Major Elma Posadas, Staff Sergeant Gerlie Babao and Staff Sergeant Sherly Villeza of the RPMRD.

Their team obtained the highest percentage nationwide for compliance in updating the Certificates of Declared Legal Beneficiary of PNP personnel.
