Kamura Highlands Gaming given green light to start e-sabong operations


CAPAS, Tarlac -- Kamura Highlands Gaming and Holdings, Inc., the newest electronic sabong licensee of the Philippine Amusements and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), has been given a green light to start its operation.

The PAGCOR’s Board of Directors formally informed the Kamura Highlands Gaming ‘to commence operations’ at its government regulations-compliant venue at the 3-hectare Capas, Tarlac sports complex. The issuance of notice to commence E-sabong was approved during the board of directors’ meeting on April 6.

PAGCOR approved Kamura Gaming’s electronic platform and evaluated its systems in December last year after being welcomed in the electronic cockfighting industry in mid-November in the same year as the 8th licensee into the e-sabong industry.

Jewel Castro, representing Kamura Gaming, was told by PAGCOR to start operation on May 1, also the reckoning date of the government gaming body for Castro’s private gaming firm’s financial obligations to the government.

PAGCOR though warned Kamura Gaming it will constantly monitor the firm’s conduct of the games to ensure it follows the regulatory framework of e-sabong operations.

Castro vowed to strictly comply with the regulations set by PAGCOR and the Capas, Tarlac local government which earlier also sanctioned Kamura Gaming’s sports arena in the area.

Topbilled as ‘World Slashers Live,’ Kamura Gaming’s round the clock e-sabong games has under its fold five Philippine-based cockers-breeders groups, namely, World Slashers Alliance, World Cockers Alliance, World Pit Alliance, Centro de Alyansa and Maginoong Sabungero.
