Over P780K worth of shabu seized from 6 suspects in QC buy-busts


Six suspects yielded P782,000 worth of alleged shabu in two buy-bust operations conducted by police in Quezon City on Tuesday evening, April 19, and early Thursday morning, April 21.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Fairview Station (PS 5) launched an entrapment operation at J.P Rizal Street, Brgy. Sta Lucia at around 5:00 a.m. on Thursday. The cops arrested Roberto Francisco, 50; Rodel Hufancia, 42, both residents of Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City; Azean Malisua, 19; and Arthur Alabarca, both of North Caloocan City.

Police confiscated from the four suspects 100 grams of alleged shabu worth P680,000, a cellphone, a Yamaha Mio motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.

They also seized a .9mm pistol loaded with two bullets from Francisco.

In another buy-bust operation conducted on Taurus St. in Brgy. Tandang Sora at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a woman and his male cohort were arrested by QCPD Talipapa Station (PS 3) personnel.

Lt. Col. Alexander Barredo identified the suspects as Jeanalyn Bartolay, 47, and Regen Alabastro, 37, both residents of the said barangay.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, the buy-bust money, and a cellphone.

All the six suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Francisco will also be charged for violation of RA 10951 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition in relation to the Omnibus Election Code, police said.
