Barangay Ginebra San Miguel coach Tim Cone said there’s no reason to dwell after Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals was postponed due to a fire that broke out inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Gin Kings were supposed to play the Meralco Bolts for a chance to win the Governors’ Cup crown Wednesday, April 20, only for the game to be rescheduled after the incident that started while the PBA 3x3 Grand Finals was ongoing.

Game 6 will now be held Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“(There’s) nothing much to say,” Cone said. “The postponement was totally out of control, so we’ll just get another practice in tomorrow (Thursday) and prepare for Friday.”

The delay means that both teams will have two additional days to prepare for the match which could be a potential title clincher for Ginebra.

Ginebra is up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series after taking Game 4, 115-110, last Sunday.

“There should be fresh legs all around both teams,” Cone continued in his text message. “Should make Game 6 more exciting.”
