Pasay City maintains zero Covid-19 case record


Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city has maintained its record of zero Covid-19 cases based on the report submitted by the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) on Tuesday, April 12.

Rubiano, however, urged residents to remain vigilant even as the city continues to record zero Covid-19 case in all the 201 barangays in the city.

She also asked residents to immediately report to the city’s hotline number (0956)778-6524 symptoms or suspected cases of the disease in their neighborhood.

The mayor said that since the pandemic, the city recorded a total of 28,842 confirmed cases with 28,257 recoveries which is equivalent to 98 percent recovery rate.

Rubiano said the city recorded a total of 585 deaths or two percent death rate.

She said the city government continues to work hard to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the city.

The mayor reminded the city residents to always follow the local health protocols being implemented by the city government such as the EMI Habit -- (E-nsure to always wash your hands; M-ask is a must; and I-mplement physical distancing).

Rubiano also emphasized the importance of getting vaccinated and boosted against the disease.
