Ang Probinsyano lands third in latest Pulse Asia party-list survey

Number 50 Ang Probinsyano Party-List is the top 3 contender in the May 9, 2022 party-list race, according to the latest Pulse Asia Ulat ng Bayan national survey conducted from March 17-21, 2022.

Rep. Alfred Delos Santos

In the survey released yesterday, eight of the 177 party-list groups running in the coming elections would have the support of at least two percent of Filipino voters if the May 9 polls were held today.

According to Pulse Asia, with this level of support, the eight party-list groups are able to surpass the 2 percent voter preference they need to win at least one congressional seat in the first round of seat allocation as stated in the February 17, 2017 resolution issued by the Supreme Court.

Number 50 Ang Probinsyano Party-List, which pushes for access to livelihood, education, food and health for probinsyanos or people in the countryside, posted 4.48 percent voter preference and could possibly get 3 seats.

Rep. Alfred Delos Santos, who renewed Number 50 Ang Probinsyano Party-List’s vow to uplift the lives of probinsyanos at the start of the campaign period in February, said they are grateful to be on the top of mind of voters.

“We are honored by the people’s trust, as we seek to reinforce our commitment for the development of remote areas for our country’s overall progress,” Delos Santos said.

Voted as the Philippines’ top 5 party-list group on its maiden foray into politics during the 2019 elections, Number 50 Ang Probinsyano Party-List posted a remarkable showing on its first three years in office, providing relief packs to 56, 243 beneficiaries amidst the pandemic; financial assistance to 33,359 beneficiaries; anti-COVID packs to 12,549 beneficiaries; educational assistance to 7,880 students and medical assistance to 4,174 beneficiaries, among others.

It also funded the construction of 69 evacuation centers and multi-purpose buildings in various provinces, as well as principally authored 246 bills and resolutions and co-authored 134 bills and resolutions in the 18th Congress.
