“We anticipate Enterprise revenues would grow on the back of the gradual reopening of businesses and opportunities to serve the needs of global hyperscalers with our expanded data centers,” confirmed PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio in a statement.

The telco's Enterprise revenues last year grew to ₱42.2 billion, its highest reported earnings to date.

Reporting annual yearly increase from ₱31.3 billion since 2016, Enterprise’s 2021 full year performance places it on track to a breakout this year.

Within PLDT’s data or broadband service revenues of P139.7B for 2021, revenues from its ICT services grew 14 percent to P4.8 billion, while revenues from Corporate data increased by 6 percent to P22 billion.

PLDT’s data center expansion further builds on the future growth of its corporate data and ICT services, ensuring the delivery of services for businesses’ digital transformations, cybersecurity, and business continuity.

“The next battlefront will be in Data Centers where PLDT has invested significantly, and we are prepared to defend this stronghold as pioneers in the industry," says PLDT and Smart FVP and Head of Enterprise Business Group and ePLDT Chief Commercial Officer Jojo G. Gendrano.

"Our latest build out, the VITRO Sta. Rosa, our largest data center yet, reinforces our commitment to be globally at par with international DC providers, while supporting the government’s efforts to establish the Philippines as the next premiere destination for the global hyperscaler market,” he added.

To support the needs of Enterprise customers, PLDT invested in fortifying its network backbone, expanding transport capacities for its domestic and international cable systems with 66 TB and 19 TB, respectively, at the end of last year.

Serving the digital transformations of large industries, the Enterprise business has established strong partnerships for building digital transformation domain expertise and leading platforms that enable SMEs, Corporates, Public Sector, and Global businesses.
