BTS finishes first day of Las Vegas concert


Las Vegas rolled out the purple carpet as K-pop idol group BTS kicked off their “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” concert on April 8 at Allegiant Stadium.

BTS took over Las Vegas as the purple color dominated hotels, landmarks and tourist sites.

Allegiant Stadium, with a capacity of 65,000, was packed with BTS ARMYs. The Las Vegas leg is the third in the “BTS Permission to Dance” tour after Los Angeles and Seoul.

Las Vegas’ official Twitter account announced that “back by popular demand, tonight City Hall will turn purple again for @bts_bighit! It's to welcome the #Kpop superstars & their fans, @BTS_ARMY, to #Vegas.”

To make the concert more memorable, the “BTS Permission to Dance the City-Las Vegas,” offering various programs to fans.

The BTS Tour official merchandise booth is located in and around Allegiant Stadium from April 7 to 9, and April 14 to 16 where fans can buy souvenirs.

At the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the “BTS Permission To Dance On Stage-Live Play In Las Vegas” was held where fans who were unable to buy tickets to the concert watched the show in real time on a large screen. The Live Play event will also be held on April 9, 15 and 16.

The BTS Pop-up: Permission to Dance in Las Vegas is available from April 5 to 17 at AREA15/The Grounds.

“The BTS ARMY is invited to dance through multiple installations, interactive experiences, and much more. Starting with a thrilling journey through the band's iconic moments, music videos, and personalities brought to life, you will then make your way through an open format space with installations, exhibits, food & drink, and opportunities to take unforgettable photos, get limited merch, and so much more!” according to the ticketing website.

For entertainment, there is the Party in the City dubbed as “after parties to extend the excitement of the concert” at the Jewel Nightclub (Aria Resort). This will be held on April 8, 9, 15 and 16.

A photography exhibition called “Behind the Stage: Permission to Dance” is available from April 5 to 17 at AREA15/A-Lot in Las Vegas.

The Bellagio fountain held a water show with BTS songs “Butter” and “Dynamite” on April 7.

For food, the Noodle Shop at Seabreeze Café (Mandalay Bay) is offering the Cafe in the City menu featuring BTS’ favorite Korean dishes. This will be until April 17.

For accommodation, 11 MGM Resort hotels in Las Vegas are offering BTS-themed rooms.

BTS will continue to hold the Las Vegas concert on April 9, 15 and 16.
