VIRAL: Why this couple chose an election-themed prenup shoot

Love wins!

Having children, 10 years old and four years old, didn't stop Enrique Mosqueda Jr. and Divina Grace Abella from officially getting married. They have been together for 11 years when they decided to make it official.

Three years since that decision, they are pursuing their dream of getting married. Of course, a prenup shoot is in order. "During our meeting with our wedding coordinator Carlo Abaquita, people in sir Carlo’s boutique were discussing how toxic social media is now, where friends and families are unfriending and blocking each other because of different political stands," Abella told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.

That's when the couple shared that they, too, have different political stands, but they still respect each other's choices. "They were amazed and that is how the halalan 2022 concept was suggested by sir Carlo," explains Abella.

When asked why they agreed to the concept, "We also want to send a message on spreading love not hate, despite our differences, we can still be united. At the end of the day, family is family and friends are friends, it’s lighter and nicer that you still have them when the election is over."

The couple wanted to keep their wedding preparations low key, but their photographer Jan Pagz and coordiantor couldn't help but post the beautiful photos. "Friends and family sent us their compliments and best wishes. Most of the netizens can relate and they appreciated how we deal with our differences."

The couple is set to get married on April 18. Best wishes to the couple!
