10 policemen in Western Visayas awarded for exemplary performance


ILOILO CITY-- The Philippine National Police (PNP) recognized ten cops for their outstanding performances in Western Visayas Region during a ceremony at Camp Delgado, the headquarters of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) in this city.

Four policemen were awarded the PNP Commendation Medal (Medalya ng Papuri) for successfully arresting wanted personalities. They are Captain Narciso Sables Jr. and Staff Sergeant Michael Guancing of Antique Police Provincial Office, Lieutenant Jersey Besas and Corporal Erec Boriba of Iloilo Police Provincial Office.

The PNP Merit Medal (Medalya ng Kagalingan) was awarded to four cops for their successful roles in buy-bust operations.

These include Captain Marvin Buenavista and Master Sergeant Ronnie Digcabo-on of the Miag-ao PNP for the buy-bust operation in Miag-ao town, Iloilo province.

Lieutenant Colonel Jonel Guadalupe and Staff Sergeant Jolly Acosta were also awarded for the buy-bust operation at La Carlota town, Negros Occidnetal province wherein a significant amount of shabu was confiscated.

The PNP Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan) was awarded to Colonel Algen Taba and Chief Master Sergeant Lema Salasani of the PRO-6’s Regional Engineering Unit for the successful titling of a donated lot intended for the municipal station of Lezo town, Aklan province.
