LOOK: Ninoy statue blocked by tent, 'offered' garbage in Tarlac UniTeam rally

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac--Whether it's intentional or not, the face of the statue of the late Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. at the plaza outside the city hall here has been blocked by a tent.

Directly in front of the statue is the site of a UniTeam campaign rally Saturday, April 2, which as of this posting is ongoing.

Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte of the UniTeam administration ticket are expected to address the crowd later.

A plastic bag containing garbage--presumably left by a rally attendee--was also spotted at the foot of Ninoy's statue, where one would typically offer flowers.

Tarlac, being "Aquino country", is considered an opposition bailiwick.
