KORONDAL City, South Cotabato--Heavy rains weren't enough to stop a UniTeam grand rally at the South Cotabato Sports Complex open-air field here. The locals wouldn't let it.
Presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos led the rally, his third crowd event for the day on Sunday, March 27.
Prior to the Koronadal grand rally, the UniTeam held a courtesy call and mini-rally with General Santos Mayor Ronnel Rivera, and then another rally at Polomolok Municipal Gymnasium in South Cotabato.
Alongside Marcos at the South Cotabato Sports Stadium were Davao City Vice Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, who represented Marcos Jr's running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte; and UniTeam Senate bets Win Gatchalian, Jinggoy Estrada, and Robin Padilla.
In a picturesque scene, the audience threw roses on the stage when Marcos Jr. was introduced to them.
Filipino rapper Andrew E also stayed to perform for the crowd despite the torrential downpour.
For their part, the crowd didn't budge either.
This, a far cry from a UniTeam grand rally which would have taken place place in Paranaque but was canceled due to similarly inclement weather last March 12.
Marcos is running for the presidency alongside Mayor Duterte in the 2022 elections, both under the UniTeam banner.
