SBE, the last PH team standing, showed a gallant fight in the three-game stretch but wasn’t enough as the Indonesians emerged as the better team in the deciding game.

The Filipinos, after forcing the winner-take-all, lost steam in Game 3 as the Indonesian raced to a commanding 9-3 lead in the first half of Ascent. SBE showed some fight after the switch but the lead was too big to overcome for SBE as Boom secured the series win via a 13-6 triumph in Game 3.

Boom Esports drew the series’ first blood in its own map pick in Breeze. The Indonesian side easily dissected South Build defensive lines en route to a 9-3 advantage at the break.

SBE then embarked to a comeback bid, cutting the lead down to two, 12-10, after taking seven rounds behind the 17-kill effort from Jan Philip Marique’s Sova. Boom, however, shut the door on the Filipinos with a Round 23 victory to bag the first map as Saibani “Fl1pzjderr” Rahmad finished with 21 kills on the Kay/o.

SBE didn’t want to end its VCT campaign without a fight, returning the favor in the second map with a dominant, 13-5 win in its comfort map in Haven.

A 6-0 start in the second map set the tone for the rout as the Filipino easily cruised to the equalizer following an impressive 10-2 half score.
