Hundreds of Malolos residents attended the proclamation rally of Gilbert Gatchalian and Eric Fernandez (GF) team of the National Unity Party held in front of the City Hall of Malolos, Bulacan on Friday night, March 25.
A group of residents told Manila Bulletin that they support the GF team in the City of Malolos because they are officers of a Christian religious group.
"Subok na namin si Mayor Gatchalian, mapagpakumbaba siyang tao at hindi naninira ng kapwa. Nagagampanan niyang mabuti ang kanyang tungkulin sa bayan at mamamayan at simbahan," (Mayor Gatchalian is already tested, he is a humble man and never say bad words against other people. He performed well his duty to the city, people and the church)," the group said.
Gatchalian is a re-electionist mayoral bet in the City of Malolos while Eric Fernandez is his running mate for vice mayor. They were joined at the proclamation rally by their slate of councilors -- Arvin Velez, JV Vitug, Miko Soto, Ver San Pedro, Jessa Meneses, Ega Domingo, Reno Aniag, Nino Bautista, Mrs. Capule, and Kiko Castro.
Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando attended the rally and proclaimed the candidates under the National Unity Party. Also present during the event were reelectionist Senator Joel Villanueva and Valenzuela Mayor Wes Gatchalian who represented his brother, reelectionist Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
