Former Paranaque City Congressman Eduardo “EDZA” Zialcita threw on Friday, March 25, his support to “Team Bagong Paranaque’ at the start of the campaign period for local candidates in the May 9 elections.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez, who aims to replace his brother Eric Olivarez as First District representative, thanked Zialcita and the EDZA ladies during the rally of “Team Bagong Paranaque” held at the Don Galo gym.
Zialcita raised the hands of the Olivarez brothers and the whole slate of “Team Bagong Paranaque” during the campaign rally.
Olivarez and the whole team heard a Mass at the San Antonio de Padua Church before going around the city at the start of the campaign period.
He said attending Mass before campaigning around the city is their way of giving thanks to and asking guidance from God.
Coach Bimky Favis is the running mate of Rep. Olivarez who is seeking the mayoral post, while Rep. Gus Tambuntning is gunning for the congressional seat for the second district of Paranaque.
Running for councilors in the first district are Toki Baes, Pablo Gabriel Jr.; Pablo “Paolo” Olivvarez II, Vandolf Quizon; Marvin Santos, Allen Tan, Rene Velarde and Jomari Yllana.
For the second district, the candidates for councilor are Beng Amuarao,Edwin Bing Benson,Juvan-Tin Esplana, Atty. Jet Frias, Rico Goelz, Joaaquin Bustamante Mendoza, Nina Sotto and Ryan Yllana.
