Cordillera police arrest 55 wanted personalities in just seven days


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera has arrested 55 wanted personalities, 14 of them listed as most wanted, during a series of operations spread over seven days beginning March 13.

Of the 14 most wanted persons, one is in provincial level, two in municipal level, one in city level, ten in station level, according to records released by PROCOR Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD).

Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 39 wanted persons, followed by Benguet Provincial Police Office which arrested six. Ifugao PPO had four arrests, Kalinga PPO three, Abra PPO with two arrests, and Mt. Province with one arrest.

In the provincial level, Richard Visaya, listed as No. 1, was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9262 or Violence Against Women and Children Act.

Meanwhile, for the Municipal Level, Melchor Lamang, listed as No. 1, was arrested for the crime of rape while Mark Masing, listed as No. 4, was arrested for lascivious conduct in relation to RA 7610.

In City Level, Russel Alindayo, listed as No. 9, was arrested for violation of the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972.

For the Station Level, Leomark Begas, listed as No. 4, was arrested for violation of New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016; Mayflor Daddy, listed as No. 4 was arrested for Estafa; Perlas Salinas, listed as No.5 was arrested for Illegal Recruitment; Dixie Uy, listed as No.6 was arrested for Illegal Recruitment; Prisca Gines, listed as No.7 was arrested for Estafa; Elizander Gerilla, listed as No.8 for Theft; Rodrigo Gango III, listed as No. 10 for Attempted Robbery with Violence; Jose Frades, listed as No. 10 was arrested for violation of 9262; and Miriam Calixto, listed also as No.10 was arrested for Estafa through falsification of Public Documents.
