K-drama ‘Business Proposal,’ ‘The Adam Project’ top Netflix’s weekly global chart for March 14-20


The Korean drama “Business Proposal,” starring Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo-seop, grabbed the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s weekly chart.

Netflix released its weekly Global Top 10 of the most watched shows and films for the period March 14 to 20.

“Business Proposal” rose to No. 1 among the top 10 non-English shows with 23.48 million hours viewed for March 14 to 20 from debuting at No. 6 with 15.9 million hours viewed from March 7 to 13.

According to Netflix, “Business Proposal” is in the top 10 in 27 countries and regions, and is No. 1 in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

It is in the top 10 in Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, South Korea and Taiwan.

“Twenty Five Twenty One,” another Korean drama starring Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk, took second place with 21.04 million hours viewed, rising from its fifth place finish the previous week with 17.11 million hours viewed.

The Korean drama “Juvenile Justice,” which topped the list the previous week, dropped to fourth place with 17.22 million hours viewed while the hit zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” is in fifth place with 13.82 million hours viewed and has been on the chart for eight weeks.

“Forecasting Love and Weather,” another K-drama headlined by Park Min-young, Song Kang, is in sixth place with 13.05 million hours viewed while “Thirty-Nine,” starring Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do and Kim Ji-hyun, placed 10th with 9.18 million hours viewed.
