The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) held the inauguration and blessing of six newly constructed facilities at the district’s headquarters in Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village on Monday, March 21.

These include the Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) Staff Quarters, QCPD Custodial Facility, Perimeter Fence Firing Range, Asphalt Overlay, Multi-level Parking(for vehicles), and a Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.

Quezon City 4th district Representative Jesus “Bong” Suntay was the guest speaker, with QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina and District Engineer Eduardo Santos of the Department of Public Works and Highways - National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) QC Second District Engineering Office (QCSDEO) in attendance.

“We’ve come here today to celebrate the inauguration of multiple improvements within Camp Karingal, an occasion that we look upon as a beacon of confidence in the QCPD’s exceptional performance of duty. We welcome these developments that will undoubtedly aid in their delivery of continued quality service that the community has collectively benefited from,” Suntay said.

“It has been and continues to be a pleasure to work with the QCPD as we continually strive to provide our communities with the utmost safety and protection that we can give. The institution as a whole has displayed a level of commitment and dedication to duty that is commendable, and it is no surprise that the government sees it fit to develop a branch that has been consistent in its ability to meet the high expectations set. Projects like these that we are celebrating today are a testament to the support given for your efforts, coupled with the expectation that this quality of performance is maintained and steadily improved,” he added.

Medina thanked the local government for its support to the QCPD and reminded his personnel to render their best in serving and protecting the community.
