9 QC barangays to experience power interruption


Parts of nine barangays in Quezon City will experience power interruption starting Tuesday evening, March 22, to early Thursday morning, March 24.

The Manila Electric Company (Merlaco) said the scheduled temporary power outage is due to line reconstruction activities that will be conducted in some areas in the city.

Line reconstruction works will be held at the corner of Annapolis Street and Aurora Boulevard in Brgy. E Rodriguez. It will affect portions of barangays Pinagkaisahan, Immaculate Concepcion, E. Rodriguez, West Kamias, and Pinyahan starting Tuesday, March 22, between 11:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., until Wednesday, March 23, between 5 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The whole Matville Subdivision and San Pedro Compound 1 in Barangay Tandang Sora will also have no electricity from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday due to the reconductoring of primary lines on San Felipe St. in San Pedro Compound 1.

The line reconstruction activity along Road 18 and Shorthorn St. in Brgy. Bahay Toro, Project 8 will affect portions of barangays Baesa and Apolonio Samson (F. Carlos St., Fema Road, Sitio Pajo and Sitio Mendez) starting March 23, around 11 p.m., until March 24, 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The same activity will also cause power interruption in portions of Roads 12, 14, 15 ,16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22 in Brgy. Bahay Toro, including Seminary Road, Shorthorn St., Hereford St., San Jose Village, and Sitio Militar.
