TXT’s Huening Kai recovers from Covid-19; ENHYPEN’s Jake takes a break


K-pop boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) member Huening Kai has recovered from Covid-19, according to his agency.

“We would like to inform you that TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Huening Kai has made a full recovery from Covid-19 and his quarantine has concluded as of today, March 21,” said Big Hit Music in a notice.

Huening Kai was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 15 and fully recovered on the seventh day in accordance with the isolation period imposed by health authorities.

Big Hit Music added, “Huening Kai has been administering self-treatment at home as per health authority guidelines and has not shown any extraordinary symptoms. He experienced a sore throat at the early stage of his quarantine, but has recovered. As his quarantine has concluded, Huening Kai can resume his activities starting from today.”

Before him, TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Soobin tested positive for Covid-19 on March 12 and fully recovered on March 18.

South Korea’s daily tally of new Covid-19 cases is going down. On March 21, a total of 209,169 new cases were recorded, down from 334,708 tallied on March 20, 381,454 on March 19, 407,016 on March 18 and 621,281 on March 17, the highest daily total since the pandemic started in 2020.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN member Jake is taking a break from activities due to health reasons.

“Jake visited a clinic after experiencing tonsillitis and body aches and was informed by doctors that he requires a period of rest and recovery. Following the doctors’ advice, JAKE will not take part in the schedule for ‘One the K: Live State” today [March 19) and will be resting for the time being,” said Belift Lab on March 19.

It added, “We ask for your kind understanding, and we will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Jake, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists.”
