F2 Logistics tries to preserve its unbeaten run even as Cignal guns for a second straight win when they clash Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Match is at 3 p.m. with the Cargo Movers aiming for a third consecutive triumph to solidify their hold of the top spot in Pool A.

After a four-set win over Black Mamba Army on opening day, F2 Logistics returned with more aggression by sweeping defending champion Chery Tiggo, 25-16, 25-23, 25-22, on Friday for a 2-0 mark.

Kim Dy remains the Cargo Movers’ go-to spiker after leading the assault in their two matches including an 11-point output against the Crossovers.

But F2’s main weapon is its depth, with reliable reinforcements that include Aby Maraño, Tin Tiamzon, Kim Fajardo and Dawn Macandili.

For Cignal, which is coming off a morale-boosting 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-18 win over Chery Tiggo, its strength lies on skipper Rachel Daquis, Ces Molina, Angeli Araneta and Ria Meneses after finishing in double figures.

The defensive tandem of Daquis and Meneses, who combined for 10 of the team’s 12 blocks against the Crossovers, will also factor in their matchup against the Cargo Movers.

Meanwhile, Chery Tiggo tries to crawl out of a 0-2 hole when it tangles with Choco Mucho at 6 p.m.

Reeling from the absence of Most Valuable Player Jaja Santiago, who is still playing in Japan, the Crossovers had to adjust quickly to catch up with the early winners.

Mylene Paat, Jasmine Nabor and Dindin Manabat are providing leadership in court, but have to double their efforts as Choco Mucho, which is coming off a 25-13, 25-11, 25-23 triumph over Black Mamba Army two days back, is a force to reckon with.

Expected to lead the Flying Titans are Kat Tolentino, Bea De Leon and Deanna Wong.
