A 41-year-old construction worker was stabbed dead by the former boyfriend of his live-in partner in Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila on Friday, March 18.
Police said the suspect, Rolando Ortilla, a resident of Brgy. 101 Katuparan, Vitas, in Tondo, was arrested after killing Arnel Dadivas, of Gasangan St., Baseco Compound.
Det. Rodolfo Acosta, officer on case, the incident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. after Ortilla had a drinking session with his friends.
The suspect stabbed Dadivas as the latter stepped out of his house in Baseco, police said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his wounds at around 3:05 a.m.
Police said the victim's live-in partner was the former partner of the suspect.
The suspect is now detained at the Manila Police District headquarters. (Terence Ranis)
