Poland wins 70th Miss World finals, PH bet in Top 13

Karolina Bielawska of Poland was crowned the 70th Miss World during the finals held in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 16 (March 17, Manila time).

First runner-up honors went to Miss USA Shree Sani while crowd favorite Miss Côte d’ Ivoire Olivia Yace finished second runner-up.

Miss Philippines ended her pageant journey when she landed in the Top 13 semifinalists of the competition.

Other candidates in the Top 13 were delegates from Vietnam, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Somalia, Colombia, The Czech Republic, France, India, and Indonesia.

Karolina, 21, speaks English and Polish. She loves travelling, swimming and scuba diving. She is 5'10 tall.

In 2021, Karolina finished with a bachelor's degree in management at the Politechnika Lodzka in Lodz. During her reign as Miss World Poland, Karolina a masters' degree in business at the same university.

Karolina won Miss World Poland in 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the Polish beauty retained the Miss World Poland 2021 title.

Megan Lynne Young remains the only Filipina who has won Miss World crown. She was crowned in Indonesia in 2013.

In 2019, Miss Philippines Michelle Dee also finished in the Top 12 of the Miss World competition in London.
