‘Jabs on Jobsite, Resbakunahan sa Klinika’ launched in Mandaluyong

The Mandaluyong City local government launched on Thursday, March 17, its “Jabs on Jobsite and Resbakunahan sa Klinika” program as the city ramped up its Covid-19 vaccination efforts amid the ongoing pandemic.

According to the local government unit (LGU), the Jabs on Site has been set up at the atrium of the City Hall Executive Building so that government employees and the general public conducting transactions at the city hall who wish to get vaccinated can proceed to the vaccination area and avail of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos said that the Jabs on Site vaccination runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

"For individuals who are still unvaccinated or haven't completed their 2nd dose or booster shots, this is the perfect opportunity for them to get it," Abalos said.

Meanwhile, Abalos explained that Mandaluyong's Resbakuna sa Klinika campaign is where the LGU will put up satellite vaccination sites at private clinics and give their respective adult patrons convenient access to free Covid-19 vaccines.

Patients of Healthway Clinic can get vaccinated every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the vaccination at the clinic of LoveYourself is done from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Abalos explained that the LGU will reactivate its "Bakuna Nights" program in partnership with call center companies located in Mandaluyong.

The initiative aims to help employees in the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) sector to complete their Covid-19 jabs. Teleperformance is said to be the program's pilot company.

"There's still a big need for us to deploy COVID-19 vaccines since more people are now allowed to go out, work on site, and even travel. But we always have to follow minimum health protocols for everyone's safety," Abalos said.

Mandaluyong's City Health Office (CHO) reported that as of March 16, the city has deployed a total of 1,253,329 Covid-19 vaccines. Out of this number, 543,558 residents received their first dose while 524,047 have been fully vaccinated.

The city has also boosted 211,911 individuals with the vaccine.
