PH Red Cross conducts health caravan in Rizal, Marikina


The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) partnered recently with Ricky Reyes for its Health and Beauty Caravan in Rizal and Marikina that aims to serve 2,000 individuals.

The health and beauty caravan started last March 14, with the goal to provide health care services and health promotion sessions also included the areas of Olongapo, Zambales, as well as Cavite.

PRC said that the health caravan offers free health consultation, health kit distribution, health and hygiene promotion, first aid training, blood typing, Covid-19 vaccination through thePRC Bakuna Bus, and hot meals distribution to serve the most vulnerable.

"One of our major services in the Philippine Red Cross is our Health Services. Importante na mabigyan natin ng access to proper health care ang mga taong nangangailangan nito (It's important to give people in need the access to proper health care), thus truly abiding by our commitment to alleviate human suffering and uplift the dignity of the people," PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sen. Dick Gordon said.

On the first day of the health caravan in Zambales, PRC conducted health consultation, distribution of health kits, and health and hygiene promotion to 236 individuals. PRC also trained 21 individuals with first aid training and assisted 215 individuals with blood typing.

Simultaneously on its first day of kick-off, the PRC health caravan also conducted health consultation, distribution of health kits, health and hygiene promotion, assisted in blood typing and blood sugar level to 321 individuals, vaccinated 24 individuals, and provided hot meals to 300 individuals.
