Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Vice Mayor Noel Del Rosario, and Rep. Antonino Calixto have backed the vice presidential campaign of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Calixto-Rubiano likened the presidential daughter to her father, President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Si Mayor Inday Sara ay napakasipag, mayroon po siyang puso para sa masa at nagbibigay ng oras para mapakinggan ang mga hinaing ng bawat mamamayan. Gaya ng kanyang ama walang iba kundi ang ating Pangulo Rodrigo Roa Duterte (Inday Sara is hardworking, has a heart for the masses, and gives time to listen to each citizen. Like her father, President Duterte),” said Mayor Calixto-Rubiano during Mayor Duterte’s rally on Wednesday, March 16 in the Pasa City Cuneta Astrodome.
According to Mayor Calixto-Rubiano, Mayor Duterte, like her father, is a hardworking leader and would work towards alleviating the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in Pasay.
Meanwhile, Rep. Calixto and VM Del Rosario backed Mayor Rubiano-Calixto’s sentiments and pleaded with their constituents
“Ang Team Calixto ay nakikiusap po sa inyo, na dinala niya ang pagbabago at darating pa ang tunay na pagbabago pag siya ay nahalal bilang vice president ng ating bansa (Team Calixto is telling you, she brought change and more change is coming if she is elected vice president of our country,” said Rep. Calixto.
“Dapat yes na yes kayo kay Vice President Sara Duterte at siyempre sa kanyang mga kasamang senador (So say yes to VP Duterte and of course, her Senate slate too),” added Del Rosario.
Duterte is running for the vice presidency under the UniTeam banner alongside presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The duo topped the recent Pulse Asia 2022 presidential and vice presidential preference survey, with Marcos Jr. nabbing 60 percent of the votes, and Mayor Duterte taking 53 percent, among a sample of 2,400 adult voters.
