“A Covid booster shot is an additional dose of a vaccine given after the protection provided by the original shot(s) has begun to decrease over time. The booster helps people maintain strong protection from severe coronavirus disease,” according to the Johns Hopkins Medicine website.

During the “Laging Handa” public briefing on March 16, Dr. Ted Herbosa, medical adviser of the National Task Force Against Covid-19, said people should get their booster shots amid the threat of new Covid-19 variants like the “Deltacron” and BA.2, which have emerged in other countries.

The National Capital Region (NCR) will still be under Alert Level 1 until March 31, according to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

In addition, Muntinlupa’s fully vaccinated individuals have reached 463,156, or 121 percent of the target population.

In addition, 37,013 individuals in the age group are now fully vaccinated, or 67 percent of the target population.
