Lalamove driver nabbed for P136,000 shabu in Taguig


A Lalamove driver was arrested after police seized from him some P136,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on March 15.

The Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the buy-bust operation at about 10 p.m. on Capistrano Extension in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig.

During the operation, the police arrested suspect Harry Nawali, 26, a Lalamove driver. Confiscated from him were five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about 20 grams with an estimated total value of P136,000, and P500 buy-bust money.

Nawali, who is under the custody of the Taguig police, will be charged by the police for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) under Section 5 or the “Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals” and Section 11, pertaining to “Possession of Dangerous Drugs.”
