The Bangsamoro Supports Leni for Justice and Peace (BSLJP) movement has named Hontiveros as one of the senatorial candidates the group is supporting in the 2022 elections for her being one of the "consistent champions for the peace process."

The BSLJP described itself as being composed of "various peace organizations and networks, civil society organizations, human rights groups, indigenous peoples, non-government organizations, and social movements and well-meaning individuals in the BARMM and in other Moro communities all over the country.”

In a covenant agreement, the Philippine Cooperative Center (PCC), the Coop NATCCO Party List (CNPL), the National Cooperative Development Council (NCDC), Liga ng mga Cooperative Development ng Pilipinas (LCDOP) along with various federations and unions across the country also stated their continuing support for the candidacy of the lawmaker who is the current vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Cooperatives.

The conveners said that Hontiveros is among the Senatorial candidates who have an “established track record in championing the interest and advocacies of the cooperative movement in the 18th Congress” and “will help ensure that the Cooperatives’ legislative and executive agenda will be truly pursued and realized.”

In a separate statement, COOP NATCCO Party List highlighted the legislative work of Hontiveros, putting forward the cooperatives’ programs and advocacies.

Hontiveros worked hard for the passage of the Act declaring October as National Cooperative Month and the Cooperatives Development Officer Act, which she authored, they said.

The lawmaker said she is "immensely thankful" for the support given to her by the groups.

Hontiveros is seeking another six-year term in the Senate under the ticket of presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo. She is advocating a "Healthy Buhay at Hanapbuhay."

She is also a known peace advocate and has co-sponsored the landmark Bangasamoro Organic Law and co-authored the Marawi Siege Victims Compensation Act, which seeks to provide compensation to Filipinos who lost their loved ones and property during the siege of Marawi.
