Creamline seeks a hot start against a retooled PLDT crew Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Match is at 7 p.m. with the Cool Smashers showcasing an intact lineup headed by Alyssa Valdez.

Valdez, who was awarded first Best Outside Spiker in last year’s conference, joins forces with setter Jia Morado, Jema Galanza, Jeanette Panaga and Celine Domingo in their bid to eclipse their runner-up finish.

But PLDT, which finished seventh the last time, will be parading a revamped lineup after retaining only four players from the previous roster.

Led by Rhea Dimaculangan, the High Speed Hitters will have Mika Reyes, Jules Samonte, Kath Arado, Jovy Prado, Dell Palomata and Heather Guino-o to reinforce the crew.

Also out to start their respective campaigns are Petro Gazz and BaliPure when they collide at 3 p.m.

After finishing fourth last conference, the Angels are expected to go all out and improve that performance.

Hard-hitting MJ Phillips, Grethcel Soltones and Myla Pablo are slated to fuel the squad along with Djanel Cheng, Bang Pineda, Aiza Pontillas and Nic Tiamzon.

BaliPure, meanwhile, will have Jho Maraguinot, Patty Orendai, Janine Marciano, Jamie Lavitoria, Marian Buitre and Alina Bicar.
