SB Finance to expand market via mobile app

SB Finance Corp., a subsidiary of Security Bank Corp., on Tuesday, March 15, launched its newest "zukì" mobile app to accelerate its growth and to reach as many new borrowers and clients as they can via the app.

The zukì mobile app is a fully digital lending platform for loan products that is “easy-to-understand, needs-based” and a total digital consumer experience.

“Our vision is to be the trusted and preferred financial service provider of Filipinos and to empower them to make financial decisions for their present needs. Part of that vision is to deliver a customer-centric digital journey through our newly launched mobile app,” said SB Finance President and CEO, Abbie Casanova.

SB Finance will offer new products via the app such as Hoologan and MotorsikLOAN products, Car4Cash and personal loan.

The financing firm describes Hoologan as a cash credit line of up to P200,000 which is payable in easy installment terms. The MotorsikLOAN, which offers low monthly interest rate of 1.2 percent per month for medium to high-end bikes and 2.47 percent for regular bikes, will finance both brand-new and pre-owned motorcycle units.

SB Finance, the result of Security Bank and Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri) of Thailand’s partnership in 2020, has been providing financial literacy as a core mission.

“Advancements in technology and how we utilize these tools will define our legacy as a company,” said its head of sales, Mikal Rallonza.

“Customers’ security is our top priority and we have made sure that zukì has the highest level of security embedded in each module,” said Ryan Bautista, SB Finance’s head of compliance.

The zukì app is powered by a scalable cloud-based solution running on one of the top cloud platform providers globally, said SB Finance.

For the security of its customers using the app, SB Finance is assuring top-of-the-line eKYC (Know Your Customer) capability, as well as location detection, liveness checks, and facial recognition functionalities to protect customers from identity fraud.

SB Finance has also removed post-dated checks as a form of payment. “Instead, customers can simply visit the nearest Security Bank branch or utilize Security Bank’s online banking platform, Security Bank Online to pay their loans. For more payment options, customers can also visit any branch of RD Pawnshop, CVM Pawnshop, Gaisano Malls, or 7-Eleven nationwide,” said SB Finance.
