Cargo Movers make PVL debut vs Army Troopers

Chery Tiggo Crossovers

Chery Tiggo launches its title-retention campaign even as F2 Logistics makes its debut when they clash with separate foes Wednesday at the start of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers collide with the Cignal HD Spikers at 7 p.m. while the F2 Cargo Movers tangle with the Black Mamba Army Troopers in the 3 p.m. curtain-raiser of this tournament that will be held behind closed doors.

Chery Tiggo will be playing without Most Valuable Player Jaja Santiago, who is still in Japan playing for Saitama, but the Crossovers will still be parading with an intact lineup composed of Dindin Manabat, EJ Laure and Thailand Volleyball League Best Scorer Mylene Paat.

Cignal, meanwhile, seeks to erase its cellar-dwelling finish last time with Rachel Daquis leading the assault along with Jheck Dionela, Ayel Estranero, Jerilli Malabanan, Ces Molina and Ria Meneses.

Spotlight will also be on F2, which missed last year’s Open Conference due to player injuries.

The Cargo Movers are ready to make their title campaign felt this time with a formidable cast composed of Majoy Baron, Kim Dy, Kim Fajardo, Dawn Macandili, Kalei Mau and Iris Tolenada.

Black Mamba Army, for its part, aims to improve its sixth place finish last year with the help of Royse Tubino, Michelle Morente, Aiko Urdas and Ging Balse.
