Student, 3 others arrested in P500,000 shabu buy-bust in Muntinlupa


A student and three others were arrested by the Southern Police District’s Drug Enforcement Unit in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa on Saturday, March 12.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspects as student Thorne Jordan France, 19, classified by the police as a high value individual; Arnold Mendoza, 42; Maria Belen Camacho, 51; and Michael Pilares, 36, jeepney driver.

The four suspects were arrested by the police in an entrapment operation at 1 a.m. at United Power System, SMI Village, Sucat, Muntinlupa.

Recovered from the suspects were six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 75 grams and with a total value of P510,000, and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

The suspects were brought to SPD for documentation and disposition.

“I would like to commend the District Drug Enforcement Unit of SPD for their successful buy bust operation conducted in Muntinlupa City,” said Macaraeg.
