'Help us': Imee says her family seeking Digong's endorsement of Bongbong

The Marcos family has been sending "SOS messages" to President Duterte regarding the presidential bid of former Senator Ferdinand ‘’Bongbong’’ Marcos Jr.

This was revealed today, March 12 by Bongbong’s elder sister, Senator Imee Marcos, during a DWIZ radio interview wherein he said they need all the endorsements they could get as the May 9, 2022 national election approaches.

Imee said they are praying that the Chief Executive ‘’will help us’’ as President Duterte, chairman of the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino (PDP)-Laban party (Cusi wing) , still has not decided whom to endorse.

She said they have been asking for an appointment from President Duterte, hoping that a meeting would produce a clearing up of misunderstanding between the Marcos and Dutere families.

‘’He is busy,’’ Imee said of President Duterte.

‘’We are loyal to President Duterte, we are friends of Senator (Christopher ‘Bong’) Go,’’ she said, adding that there could have been miscommunication between them.

Go was earlier named as the vice presidential candidate of the PDP-Laban (Cusi wing). He later withdrew after presidential daughter, Davao city Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, decided to run as Bongbong’s vice presidential bet.

President Duterte had accompanied Senator Christopher ‘’Bong’’ Go to file his certificate of candidacy as presidential candidate at the Manila central office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). He later withdrew, adding that his family did not favor his presidential bid.

The PDP-Laban (Cusi wing) later named Senator Ronald ‘’Bato’’ dela Rosa as Go’s replacement. Dela Rosa also withdrew.
