Parish priest Rev. Fr. Carlos Reyes said the holy mass will be offered to pray for unity, world peace and for an end to the on-going war between Russia and Ukraine.

The theme for the Eucharistic celebration is ‘Pray the Rosary for World Peace and Conversion of Russia’ to seek the Blessed Mother’s intercession for the safety of all affected individuals in the on-going war as well as to pray for an end to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Holy Mother appeared in an apparition as Our Lady of Fatima in Fatima, Portugal in 1930 during the World War I and a plague.

Fr. Reyes urged the faithful to include in their prayers the souls of those who perished in the war as well as the other victims of unrest in other parts of the world.

The holy mass will be live streamed through the parish Facebook page.

The United Nations (UN) Refugee Agency said more than 1.9 million citizens of Ukraine have lost their homes because of the war while around 2.3 million refugees had been reported.
