MB Daily News Update: Salceda warns 'worst is yet to come'

“The worst is yet to come,” House Fuel Crisis Ad Hoc Committee Co-Chairman Joey Salceda has made it clear, as the situation in Ukraine turned for the worse. The United States and United Kingdom have gone on an offensive after the Ukraine allies announced that they were putting a halt to all Russian oil imports to their countries.

The Covid-19 situation in the country is further improving with the Department of Health (DOH) noting that there was no increase in new cases in areas where Alert Level 1 is being implemented. The Fourth National Vaccination Days is also set to start on Thursday, March 10, 2022, with the government keen on prioritizing far-flung areas to expand the country’s vaccination footprint.

Malacanang has given the Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)  30 days to resolve the case of the 34 missing cockfighting aficionados, or “sabungeros”, whose continued disappearance has been a mystery to their families, law enforcers, and probers.
