Good news to those who want to be vaccinated or those who want to get booster shots.
The vaccination against Covid-19 will now be available six days a week at the Antipolo City station of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 starting Monday, March 7.
In a statement, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that from the initial two-day schedule a week, the vaccination drive will now be available from Monday to Saturday for primary vaccine and for booster shots.
"To encourage more vaccinees, LRTA provides free-one day unlimited pass to individuals who get vaccinated or boosted at any Line 2 vaccination site," LRTA Administrator Jeremy Regino said.
The Antipolo station, Line 2's eastern most terminal and the first station outside Metro Manila, is strategically located as the point of convergence and the means of conveyance for passengers coming from various neighboring towns of the province of Rizal.
In addition to Antipolo station, LRTA, together with the City Government of Quezon City, will open the Cubao station for vaccination starting Monday, March 7. The Cubao vaccination site is open every Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide first dose, second dose and booster shots.
Meanwhile, the Recto vaccination site is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
"We are expecting more vaccinees as we step up our vaccination efforts in order to ensure the safety and protection of our commuting public," Region said.
