BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) informed the public on Saturday, March 5, 2022, that there was no evidence to show that the cases of missing persons in the city were incidents of kidnapping.
BCPO Director Col.Glenn Lonogan said that of the four cases investigated by the BCPO, one has been declared closed, while one was nearing resolution.
Lonogan said the two other cases were still being followed through, but investigations showed no indications of abduction in all of the reported incidents.
He said they were also looking at reports of persons allegedly luring and coercing youths over promises of good-paying jobs, and so far no link has been established between said reports and cases of missing persons.
