4th ‘Bayanihan, Bakunahan’ program set, says NTF adviser

The fourth Bayanihan, Bakunahan National Vaccination Program against Covid-19 is set to be launched on March 10 to March 11, 2022, said Dr. Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa, special adviser of the National Task Force against Covid-19, on Saturday, March 5.

“This coming March 10 and 11 ay magkakaroon na tayo ng part 4 ng Bayanihan, Bakunahan. Ang focus natin ngayon syempre ay yung mga senior citizen na hindi pa nababakunahan at mga booster doses natin (This coming March 10 and 11, we will launch the 4th Bayanihan, Bakunahan. Our focus now, of course, is the senior citizens who have not been vaccinated, as well as our booster doses),” said Herbosa in an interview over DZBB.

Herbosa stressed that only 10 million individuals in the country have so far received a booster jab, while at least 63.5 million have already been “fully immunized” against the disease.

Meanwhile, Herbosa said that the low number of boosted Filipinos is not due to vaccine hesitancy and low vaccine supply.

“Hindi problema hesitancy. I think ang problema ay convenience at making sure na madali makapag pa bakuna. Padadaliin natin ‘yan (Vaccine hesitancy is no longer our problem. I think the problem is convenience and making sure it’s easy to get vaccinated. We will make it easier),” he stated.

Furthermore, Herbosa said that the national government aims to fully vaccinate 77 million Filipinos by the end of March.
