Mayor Nacional Mercado, in a forum with the Philippine Information Agency, disclosed that over P150 million worth of infrastructure was damaged by the typhoon.

The estimate was based on the assessment conducted by the city government on city-owned properties, including its gym, city hall, plaza, and evacuation centers.

"Out of 70 evacuation centers, 40 were heavily damaged, the remaining 30 have partial damages," he said.

The mayor said they have given importance to the damages in barangays and will prioritize the rehabilitation of the multi-purpose gymnasiums in Combado, Mantahan, and Mambajao.

Mercado said he has requested for DBM's assistance through the local government support fund (LGSF).

Based on a DBM Memo Circular, the agency can provide P5 million for barangays, P10 million for municipalities, P20 million for cities, and P30 million for provinces as supporting funds to reconstruct their damaged facilities.
