'Bayanihan sa Bakunahan sa Las Piñas' launched by local gov't

The city government launched the “Bayanihan sa Bakunahan sa Las Piñas” to ensure that all residents will receive their vaccine against COVID-19 on Wednesday, March 2.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said “Bayanihan sa Bakunahan sa Las Piñas” will be conducted for the whole month of March. It aims to bring closer the city’s health services to residents, particularly the inoculation of COVID-19 jabs to unvaccinated individuals and to those who are set to receive their booster shots.

Aguilar said 21 vaccination teams, with each team composed of four to five members from the City Health Office (CHO), will be dispatched to the different barangays in the city to administer COVID-19 vaccines to residents.

CHO chief Dr. Juliana Gonzalez said the vaccination teams will distribute paracetamol and Vitamin C to those who will receive their COVID-19 jabs.

Aguilar also said 20 fixed posts will be set up in the barangay visited by the health team in order for the residents to have an easy visit for their inoculation and the administering of booster shots.

Aside from this, there will be also a team that will conduct house-to-house vaccinations to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Aguilar advised residents with comorbidities to visit the vaccination sites identified by the city government for the proper monitoring of patients.

Meanwhile, Vice-Mayor April Aguilar underscored the importance of getting the COVID-19 jabs and booster shots through the “Bayanihan sa Bakunahan sa Las Pinas” program to provide them protection especially after the National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under Alert Level 1 until March 15.
