Apart from the official hashtag of CNN’s presidential debate, #CNNPHPresidentialDebate, that got 227,000 tweets as of posting time, only Robredo’s official hashtag got past the 100,000th mark on Twitter.

As of posting time, the hashtag has been mentioned more than 176,000 times on the social media site. Before the debate started, the hashtags #10RobredoPresident and “Madam President” also trended on Twitter.

Robredo’s senatorial candidate and staunch supporter, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, was one of the many who cheered the Vice President on.

“Tapos na, may nanalo na (It’s over, there’s a winner! Congrats, my President Leni! #IpanaloNa10To #10RobredoPresident #CNNPHPresidentialDebate,” he tweeted.

Most of the tweets were in reaction to the Vice President’s answers during the debates. Her kakampinks, as her supporters call themselves, were all praises for Robredo.

“Only she gives me hope. A brighter and better Philippines for each one of us because she has concrete plans and you can tell she genuinely cares. VP Leni lang, wala nang iba. This is her pledge,” tweeted Carmela (@CarmelaEHon).

“Kahit si @glocdash9 mahihirapan sabihin sa given time lahat ng itunulong ni VP @lenirobredo sa pandemic. Kulang na kulang ang oras para masabi yung sobrang daming nagawa," said stand-up comedian Red Ollero (@comedybyred).

"Kung gaano siya kabilis magsalita, ganon din siya kabilis umaksyon,” actor/singer Kerwin King (@imkerwinking) added.

Most of the tweets quoted Robredo’s answers during the CNN debate as netizens specifically lauded her ability to enumerate her COVID-19 response initiatives in just 90 seconds.

Her supporters said this proved that she was really the Busy Presidente, a play on the words busy and vice president, during the pandemic.

“We really made VP Leni Robredo enumerate everything she has done during the COVID-19 pandemic that she had to rap,” ally (@reginevlsqz) said.

“VP LENI QUEEN OF RAP! 1 minute and 30 seconds is really not enough for her. Give her 6 YEARS! Miss ma'am got bars,” Romari (@romaricharlz13) chimed in.

They also reacted to the question of what changed Robredo’s mind to run for the presidency when she claimed in 2016 that she had no plans to seek the highest position in the land.

“Ang galing ng sagot (What a good answer)! The presidency is a calling nga naman. You can’t plan it in advance. When your country needs you, you step up to the plate. And WE NEED YOU VP LENI,” tweeted werka meridian washington (@werqishaxfierce).

Her supporters were also “manifesting” a win for the “future first family” of the country.

“Ang ating next first family on their way to Malacañang. Char,” F1rst Ko Si Leni (@F1rstkosiLeni) wrote with a photo of Robredo and her daughters—Aika, Tricia, and Jillian—on their way to the debate hall.

“THE FUTURE IS FEMALE! This is the kind of FIRST FAMILY I would want to see. Intelligent, empowered, responsible, trustworthy - higit sa lahat, disente at tapat. Ipanalo natin to (Most of all, decent and honest! Let’s win this)!,” Clare de Guzman (@iamclare07) retweeted.

Ahead of the debate, several celebrities shared a photo of Robredo’s arrival at the University of Sto. Tomas and wished her good luck, including actor Edu Manzano, actress Cherry Pie Picache, and singers Bituin Escalante, and Sam Concepcion.

"Is this a Presidential look or is this a Presidential look?" tweeted Manzano.

"VP Leni looks Presidential. Wow," singer Sam Concepcion said in a Twitter post.

"That’s my President!!!," Picache commented.
