According to report, Jamelo was the subject of the operation led by the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), along with the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 3.

Both were placed under monitoring for a couple of weeks, according to the police.

Police Lt. Joeven Mogato, CDEU head, said that Jamelo and Nicavera can be categorized as high value individuals considering the volume of illegal drugs recovered from them. They are detained at Police Station 3.

The operation came a day after the confiscation of P136,000 worth of suspected shabu from two persons in a buy-bust at Purok Santa Antonia, Barangay Pahanocoy here.

Meanwhile, Police Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, lauded the joint operating personnel for the said accomplishment.

“This bespeaks of your dedication and commitment in our campaign against illegal drugs,” Dongbo said, as he urged them to continue their effort and look deeper if these suspects have cohorts in their alleged illegal activities.
