One of Tondo’s most wanted persons arrested


A 40-year-old man tagged as one of the most wanted persons in Tondo, Manila was arrested during a police operation on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Police Lt. Col. Antonietto Eric Mendoza of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) said the suspect, identified as Ronald Yu, was nabbed at 1014 Panday Pira Street in Tondo at around 8 a.m.

Mendoza said Yu was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Marianthe Pacita Zuraek of Regional Trial Court Branch 51 of Manila.

According to Police Lt. Col. Cenon Vargas Jr., commander of Manila Police District (MPD) Raxabago Police Station, the suspect was included in the Top 5 list of the most wanted persons in Tondo district.

Yu is now detained at the HPG National Capital Region (NCR) office.

No bail was recommended for the suspect, police said. (Terence Ranis)
