Central Luzon's most wanted arrested in Bulacan


A member of the notorious Serrano group criminal gang and Central Luzon’s most wanted person was arrested by the Bulacan police during a manhunt operation on Monday, Feb. 21.

Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting Bulacan police director, said arrested was Gerardo Talastas, 49, of Brgy. Bagong Silang, Plaridel, Bulacan.

Talastas was arrested by tracker teams from the Plaridel municipal police station, Pulilan police, and Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU).

Police said Talastas was involved in the illegal drugs trade in the municipality of Pulilan and was listed as a priority high-value target in Region 3.

He faces charges of rape with a bail of P200,000; another case of rape with no bail recommended; lascivious conduct under RA 7610 with a bail of P80,000, and unjust vexation in relation to RA 7610 with a bail of P80,000 under criminal cases numbers 5927-M-2021; 5930-M-2021; 5931-M-2021. Another rape case with no bail recommended falls under criminal case number 5928-M-2021.
