A total of 17 barangays in five Metro Manila cities will experience water service interruption on Wednesday, Feb. 23, Manila Water announced on Monday, Feb. 21.
The service interruptions are due to line maintenance work in some streets in the cities of Marikina, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Quezon City and Taguig which will start in the afternoon of Feb. 23 until early Thursday morning, Feb. 24.
Manila Water will conduct the activity at the corner of Chavez Street and A. Bonifacio Avenue in Taguig City on Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., affecting parts of baranggays Upper Bicutan and Central Bicutan.
Parts of Barangay Malanday, Marikina City will also experience water service interruption as line maintenance work will occur at the corner of Kabayani Road and Egret Street on the same day, from 10 p.m. until Feb. 24, at 5 a.m.
In Quezon City, the service improvement will be held in four barangays - corner of Maginhawa and Masaya Streets in Brgy. Teacher's Village (will affect East and West barangays), corner of Road 1 and Road 8 in Brgy. Pag-asa, streets of Molave, Narra, Yakal, Banuyo, and Batino in Barangay Amihan, and the corner of St. Martin Street and Tandang Sora Avenue, in Brgy. Tandang Sora.
The activities will begin on Wednesday, at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m on Thursday, affecting parts of these barangays, including Brgy. UP Village, Brgy. San Vicente, and Brgy. Sikatuna Village.
Another line maintenance will affect areas in barangays Barangka Itaas, Ibaba, Barangka Ilaya, and Barangka Drive in Mandaluyong City starting Wednesday, 10 p.m., until Thursday, 4 a.m.
The activities will be conducted at the corners of streets connected to Boni Avenue - Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA); San Roque; Sacrepante; and Dansalan; as well as Countryside, Malapantao, and Talumpong.
The water services in parts of Brgy. Little Baguio in San Juan City will also be interrupted from Feb. 23, 10 p.m. to Feb. 24, 5 a.m., as the service maintenance will be conducted in streets connecting to J. Abad Santos Street - Boni Serrano Ave., M.A Reyes, and Ibanez.
Residents of the affected areas are advised to store enough water for their needs during the line maintenance activities.
