Marikina City reopens pediavax online registration


The Marikina City government announced on Thursday, Feb. 17 that it has reopened the online registration for the pediatric coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination for children aged five to 11.

Parents or legal guardians may register their child or children in the available slots on Monday, Feb. 21 to Thursday, Feb. 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 nn (at https://covid19.marikina.gov.ph/vaccine/pedia/home).

The pediatric vaccination will continue to be held at the Marikina City Sports Center.

The local government reminded all attendees to come on their respective scheduled date, time, and place, where all children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

They must bring the birth certificate of the child or children, and valid identification (ID) cards of the parents or legal guardians.

Only those who have registered online will be accommodated at the vaccination area, where the vaccination staff will ask the parents or legal guardians to present a reference number as proof of registration.

The pediatric vaccination for children aged five to 11 remains restricted to Marikina City residents only.

Marikina City inoculated more than 500 children on the first day of its vaccination drive for children aged five to 11 on Feb. 9.

On Wednesday night, Feb. 9 , the local government closed the online registration for the COVID-19 vaccination of the age group in order to replenish the limited supply of vaccines they first received from the Department of Health (DOH). (Khriscielle Yalao)
