An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), who was hospitalized for almost two months after suffering a stroke in Kuwait, arrived in the country on Thursday, Feb. 17.
Preselda Aquino, 32, was immediately taken to a quarantine facility as she was still unvaccinated. She arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at around 4 p.m.
Chie Umandap, former OFW who now heads the group AkoOFW, said they immediately coordinated with authorities from Kuwait and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) as soon as they were informed of the condition of Aquino.
Umandap said Aquino was abandoned by her employer after she was hospitalized.
Aquino is expected to be taken to his family in fCauayan City in Isabela after the mandatory quarantine.
