Paranaque City gov’t set to receive 2,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the city government is set to receive 2,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine from Mondelez Philippines, Inc.

Olivarez said a memorandum of agreement between the city government and representatives from Mondelez Philippines Inc. was signed during the celebration of the 24th cityhood anniversary on Feb. 13.

The mayor said the vaccines will be turned over to the Ospital ng Paranaque (OSPAR) under medical director Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan for the mobile vaccination program (MVP) project of the city government.

Pagsisihan, who heads the MVP, said since the launching of the project in 2020, they have already administered 7,402 vaccines as first dose, 6,277 as second dose, and 3,652 as booster shots.

He said the OSPAR 1 and 2 also conduct COVID-19 vaccination and have already injected a total of 20,262 vaccines as first dose, 17,076 as second dose, and 15,221 as booster shots.

The hospital medical director said the donation is a big help to the MVP program of the city government.
